Thought you 'history boy's might know, since other parts of sites you mention w caves are Muttaraiyar. i.e. Thirumayam, Kudimiyanmalai, Narthamalai. Forget it -- I'm wrong. Caves on those sites are much earlier than Muttaraiyars.…
