  • Hi all,

The much awaited sequel of PS 'Kaviri Mainthan' by our beloved
Venkatesh is already in book form, awaiting to be released in the book
fair which starts on 10th. Wishing all the best for the success of
    this book.

    REgards,
    Satish
  • Dear Venkatesh,

All the best for the success of the Book.
  • Hi All,

I got a copy of the book today from Venkat Sir. The books looks very
    attractive and professional.
  • So, Venkatesh, you sure will reserve a copy for me, wont you?

There are others who might want a copy too... hmmm... okay, folks, whomever
needs a copy of 'Kaviriyin Mainthan' drop me a mail. I will collect the no.s,
cash and organize the delivery of books. (Venkatesh - do you mind me doing
this? or do you have a better logistic solution, than my adhoc approach?)
  • congrats Mr.Venketesh;
Im sure KM would be as fabulous as PS if not better.
  • Congrats Mr.Venketesh
I am so eager to get the book...
Let me know where i can get these books

Can anybody let me know where i can get hardbounded volumes of PS and
SS esp with pictures and big letters to gift my parents.
  • i want this book
    Where to send the dd
    What's the amount
  • Dear Venkatesh,

I read the first 5 chapters in one shot and continuing
to read the book. It is pretty interesting and it is
giving me the much needed diversion now.

The print quality and paper quality is very good. As I
told you in the stall today, the only thing is that it
    needs a hardbound wrapper!

Wishing you a very good writing career.

    Keep writing.
  • Hi

Got a copy yesterday in the book fair. Will try to
    read and write more.

The book fair itself was fantastic but I use it only
as a place to get some rare books(at least those that
may not be immedietly available in HB, Landmark and
odessey). Bought quite a few books yesterday but I
think it has gotten too big and chennaites treat it
more like a picnic than a book fair. There was food,
plastics everywhere. How difficult it will be to put
3-4 trash cans along the way? But it was fun in its
    own way.

    Anyway, take care

  • All,

Wish you all a very happy pongal.

So few of our group members have gone to the book fair at different
times. it would have been great if we all could have grouped
    together.

Yesterday, Swetha, Natarajan Srinivasan, Chandra, Sankaran and
myself visited the book fair. A stall selling a single book and
attrackign a huge crowd is something great. Hats of venkatesh. We
are really proud of you. Swetha had asked for two copies of KM and
when returning, Venkatesh said he is busy and running out of stock,
so will deliver the book at her house. That shows the book was
    selling like hot cakes.

As usualy, PS and SS and PK were the most available books in the
fair. Somehow I feel this year the fair was not that charming. I
dont know why, but i couldnt step upon a book which attracted me to
buy it immediately. Earlier, every other book used to attract
attention. Not sure whether the layout of the new location is not
proper or the stalls were not arranged to put books to catch the
    attention.

Muthu Prakash, your point on a dust bin at frequent distance - I
too thought about it. Every year, in the fair, when I collect lots
of the ad pamplets, I used to search for dust bins but not even a
single bin will be in sight. I really dont understand, why such a
huge fair cant have a single dust bin. Every year I used to carry
lots of papers with me to house and dump it at my house to put it in
the bin. Incidently, today Sun TV telecasts 'Anniyan' a movie on
    self discipline. :)
  • I really miss being at Chennai guys!!! You folks have
    such a lot of fun
  • Next year, we should to a Theme Stall of
"PonniyinSelvan" - one stall that keeps all the books
    and artifacts of PonniyinSelvan.

Perhaps, we can keep historic novels of Sandilyan,
    vikraman et al as well...
  • Hi,

Could someone please tell me if Nandhipurathu Naayagi and Vandhiyathevan
vaal are available for online ordering?
  • Dear SPS, Madan,

Since my daughter undergoes a major surgery, I will
not be able to allot time for the 1 day trip planning
    and participation.

If it gets pushed to say 10, 11 of February, I may be
able to come. But, you shouldnt wait for me. Things
    should progress as planned earlier.

Madan & Sriram / Plastics Chandra should take on and
conduct it as per the convenience of team members.

    Thanks and best regards,
  • Dear Sibi,

  • No Nanda: I did not go to the Book Fair. Somehow
missed it. Enjoy your books buddy
  • Hi Friends,

I would like to know whether the books "Kanchi" and Kaviri Mainthan" is one at the same or different books?

    Amudha
  • Thank you Mr.Venkatesh,

You cleared my doubt.  But in http://kavirimainthan.wordpress.com/ we can see only first page of "Kanchi".  Where we get this novel?

I saw in "Udumali.com", where  "kaveri mainthan" is available.  Usually I procure interested book from this site.
