dear all forgive me if you feel I am flogging a dead horse. but I have uploaded a file on files section called foreigner.
we all know there is a statue of an european on the north side gopuram of the big temple. i have identified an english man who may have been linked to the temple more than anybody else.
he was a surveyor called lambton who climbed the big temple with some hevy equipment . the equipment fell down and was damaged. the man then stayed in tanjore for 6 months after the accident.
my hypothesis was the temple gopuram must have been damaged. was it possible that the man payed for the replacement??? and was he the model for new statue?? does it sound far fetched. kindly see the 2 photographs of lambton in files section and try to identify some facial resemblances with the statue ( also attached.) also can some of the veterans give me a bigger photo of the statue if they have it.
