This is the first novel in tamil.But it can be read even today.Too hilarious.The beginning part where prathaba muthali is a kid is too hilarious to be described.

In the first tamil novel,heroine is given equal importance and is often shown as being more intelligent than prathabamuthali.She even argues her case with british and saves hero and her family from ending up in prison.She disguises herself as a male to save her husband,becomes a king and rules the kingdom well.

thats a real good novel.. but orey oru vishayam.... since it was the first novel in tamil.. indha fullstop comma idhellaam would not have been used in the appropriate places... adhanaala konjam vasavasannu irukkum.. mathapadi a great read...
lot of publications are available.. if you go to connemara library there is a permanent book fair sponsored by govt of tamilnadu... you can get that book @ 10% discount... applies to all books.. but you shud be fortunate enough to get the stocks there.....
