Gavin Menzies - 1421
  • hi all,
I am writing this on behalf of my dad Mr. Sharma. Has anyone read Gavin Menzies book on chinese voyage? According to him the world was discovered by the Chinese during the Ming Dynasty's Zheng He's period.

The chinese had well versed people in Indian Languages like Tamil, Malayalam, Hindi, Sanskrit, Gujarati. Accordin to him he has come across stone carves written in Tamil near Cape Verde(Africa). If anyone is aware of these things, pls discuss the known factors!!!

    thnks and regards,
    Uma

  • Yes!

Chinese history claims, that in 1421, the Ming dynasty king sent forth three ships. On East, North East and South East. The one that went East, hit California. And, thus Chinese claim, that have discovered America. Some chinese settled in South America, and the local tribal language is said to be derived from Chinese.

In 1421, Chinese, rather discovered the world, I would say they explored the world.

  • I remember reading in kadalpura that kulothunga chozan visited china
in 1165 as ambassador of then chola king.
  • I do not know, whether Kulothunga cholan, visited China, but he has sent envoys to China, during the period of Sung Dynasty, in 1077.
