Though I agree with your rights as the moderator to delete the threads you don't like and that are not compatible with the motto of the group, It's surprising that you used your privileges without an actual warning and asking for opinion..
I remember we used to have discussions that are much more heated and controversial than this. If this is a start of a censorship than I'd become more of a passive observer..
I thought Tamil and Tamil culture were part of the topics of interest of this group.We did not talk anything badly or abuse each other.We debated in a civilized way.What is wrong in it?See how constructively people discuss karnatic music and bharathiar songs as a result.

The members come to this group for PS and most often than not other topics not only divert from main interesting topics but also lead to uncomfortable and embarrassing exchanges...
Maybe they will be better in a different forum I will participate as well

Has anyone wonder we reached 600 4 months back every day I get atleast one member requestin membership but leave within weeks because we have been reduced to another discussion forum......Not PS group

I agree with you about the main purpose of this group. But I think "uncomfortable" and "embarassing" exchanges carried out in a decent manner based on facts are good and healthy. There is no point in a discussion or a debate if everyone had the same views or afraid to speak out what they think is truth fearing that it would be "uncomfortable" or "embarassing", that would leave the world as one boring place. :-))

Those few members could have voiced their protest in "public". I like to deal with people straight and direct.

Maybe we should start a poll, I think it's easy to find out people's views on discussing topics related to tamil society or TN in particular.. That would be my humble suggestion.
Dear Satish If I have made a mistake apologies....I didnt realise it wasnt you must be my mistake....There are only a few of us myself included who discuss these things...before you say anything.. in that case why havent I included Veen or Priya Thats because I knew all the responders were male sorry once again
I never expected apologies from you. To err is human and when a person like me can make mistakes, as a Dr. you must be in extreme pressures and so this happens. Never mind and dont feel sorry for such things.
