Thiruvalanchuzhi
  • Dear Friends,

Dr. Kalaikkovan's team is already working on the inscriptions - ref.
    www.varalaaru.com.

Mr. Paramanathan of Thanjavur ASI has visited. Dr. Rajavelu & Dr.
Satiyamurthy will be visiting shortly and plan estempage.

Last Sunday myself & Kudavoil Dr. Balu - visited. He was thrilled to read the
inscriptions. He calls them a treasure and the temple a treasure house!

Suddenly there was a down-pour .. They will start working soon.

Between Darasuram and Thirulanchuzhi on the Kudanthai - Thanjai main road,
he has identified the place reportedly accommodated about 6 pallippadai of
Rajaraja II and his five wives.!

    fondly, sps
  • The Pallippadai is an interesting finding. Hope
someday we will find for RR-1 and RC.
  • Sounds great!

I was in Thanjavoor, this Sunday and to have a Dharshan of my kula deivam ( Kaathavaraayan ) in Karuvaazhaikarai, on route to Poombuhaar from Mayiladuthurai.

Showers, had really cooled down the temperature a bit, and I was thrilled to smell the 'Manvaasanai'.

    Rajendhra Cholan!
  • Hi All...!
I was in a training program and hence am just reading the mails......!!!!
    Dear Mr.SPS,
Could you please define the word PALLIPADAI......for those of us not conversant with SENTHAMIZH...? Does it mean summer residences or what?
