The first thing that created the eagerness to read Ponniyin Selvan Novel is Maniam Selvan's Painting. My uncle used to paint pictures. He started collecting the novel when Kalki weekly started issuing weekly editions of Amarar Kalki's Ponniyin Selvan about 4 - 5 years back.
He was mad in collecting those. I just started looking into those collections. Later on I got interest in those pictures. After that even I became mad in collecting those pictures. Then I got the novel as a handbook and started reading the book. After that Kalki visualised everything in the form of words. And Maniyam Selvam's Paintings reflected exactly what Kalki meant.
Just in search of that only, I searched those in the net. Thanks to google that gave me the link to this wonderful group and Thanks to the Moderator of this group by whom I got all these pictures, friends and I till then could'nt believe that there is a group for a nove that too for a Tamil Novel.
If anybody can tell me where I can find The Great Nove with Great Paintings ie., Ponniyin Selvan with Maniam Selvan's Paintings.
