    At Last some one has seen the RR Statue I have always been going on
    about

    I read the Hindu article but the only sorepoint was it described RR
    ascending throne at a very tender age

    It would be really nice to light up the Big temple on a permanant
    basis...

    If you went to Durham you can see the castle and cathedral from every
    angle for the 5 mile radius Its helped by being on a hill but the
    city has a ban on buildings over a certain height incase they obscure
    the veiw

    One more thing

    when i recently visited thnajavur ,
    I had seen few mandapas on the banks of the river which crossing after
    karanthai on the way to kumbakonam ( because of some diversion we took
    since the main road was having heavy traffic). can u give me
    informations on them . i like to know whether they belong to chola
    period or after that ??
