    the temple is situated on the new bus station road, opposite to Kundavai
    Nachiar Govt college for Women at Thanjavur. Presently the temple is known
    as Sengamala nachiar koil got derived from (perhaps) Singala nachiar koil.

    Dear Sir,
    It is locally called "sengalachi Amman Koil", if I am not wrong, and it used to be desolated and not maintained, when I used to walk through that Area, while going to Rajah Saroboji College in "64-65. We were advised not to go thru that site.
