Is Mecca really Makhesvara?
  • Hi all,

I was reading a book A brief history of India by Alain Danielou.
He is supposed to be one of the many authorities of Hindu religion.

In the book he has stated that present world Mecca was (is!)
a Hindu site by name Makhesvara with Shiva as the deity.
(No hurt intended for Muslims in our group)
He quotes sources of this place from ancient Greek philosphers and historians.

The book is interesting, as he also compares Shiva with a greek God
by name Dionysus, the similarities are abundant.
He also delves into 3 forms of Saivism, one of which is the Kapalika sect
    described by Kalki in PS.

  • i dont understand the point in havin a passport in tamil. does it mean anything to guys who dont even ve a ration card, let alone a passport?
  • The Intention is to make Thamizh a Universal language..

If passport is in Thamizh, that means everyone in the world understand thamizh, and that will happen, only if Thamizh is a Universal language... is it not. That time, everything will be in Thamizh, Rationcard, Visitingcards, and even Creditcards..

May be, my vision and dreams are big.. But I only gain because of this..:o)

  • i understand ur dreams r not only big but impossible. to get a classical language status in our own country took so long and and you are talkin abt universal language. instead u can dream abt making people aware of their heritage and history. do u know how many young people read and write in tamil in chennai? not many to my knowledge.
  • Yes, You are right.

"instead u can dream abt making people aware of their heritage and history."

Thanks, I am in process of doing that, and will keep you posted when somehing happen in this regard.

    1. We are happy to get our Operating systems on Tamil, and this will enable us to run a organization in Tamil alone. Though with Hiccups, initally, but it is sure to develop, provided we support.

    2. There had been many scholars from Kadaaram , Kaambojam, Srivijaya, China, etc had been to Tamilnadu, during the period of Kings, for the purpose of learning.

"Nagareshu Kanchi" - Says Mahakavi Kalidas, since kanchipuram was also a famous center of learning. This is not one, that cannot be done.. But... Subjects need to be in Tamil. And there needs to be oppurtunities for students with Tamil medium..

    3. Hitting at the trade :
Many of the multinationals, print usage directions on its international products in many languages, but, not in Tamil, NOW. this covers Arabic , Chinese, French, etc. And few these lands are smaller than Tamilnadu and with a lesser population. ( may be except China ). And these nations are trading giants. Can't we become one.

    "Enna Valam illai intha thirunaatil"

    4. Superpower:
Not to speak about our valor.
But , I guess, English was not universal language, as long as GB, started conquering other nations, but this is now ruled out.

According to me, unless we comeup and start showing the world, what Tamil is, we cannot win.

And "WE WIN WIN"..:o).. I am optimistic.
