We have a great news for all members. First time in the annals of Indian history, awards are conferred for conservation of heritage, by REACH.
Board of Trustees of REACH Foundation with great pleasure communicate to you all that the REACH HERITAGE CONSERVATOR Award 2010 will be conferred on Mr. K.K. Muhammed, ASI Delhi circle for his great conservation efforts in the dreaded Chambal Valley; Mr. Muhammed is also a sanskrit scholar. The other Awardees are Justice Ratnavelu Pandiyan and Dr.R. Krishnamurthy, Editor Dinamalar. Justice Rantavelu Pandiyan is highly regarded by all Art lovers for the conservation of thousand year old temple in his home town Thirupudaimarudur, District Thirunelveli, Tamil Nadu and for resurrection of traditional art and crafts in and around the village. He has brought back the heritage tourism to this tiny village. Dr.R.Krishnamurthy has contributed much to the Tamil heritage by his discovery of Sangam age inscribed Pandya coin. His numismatic discovery is a milestone in the annals of heritage studies of the classical Tamil history of the country.
