    this is the special sculputure in the thajnavur district temples. This is called as"rishabhakunjalam"ie, in the same statue with two different  animal shapes. ie if u see in one side, it is look
    like a bull(reshabam) , if u see in other side, it is look like an elephant. This reflects the talents of the old artists in tamil nadu.

  • no it is purely Chozha style, same inscription available in few other temples in kumbakonam built by chozhas before nayakars.  :)
