I could speak to Mr. Rajavelu - epigraphist (now Tamil University / formerly ASI, Chennai ) - in detail today - re subject temple / inscription.
It is HE who has found this and published theinscription !!
He has agreed to visit the temple again and read further inscriptions if any - along with you within a month or so !!
4 - 5 years we all travlled together to Melpadi ( Arinjayeswaram ). On the way we diverted to see a temple near Walaja, but somehow missed the way and proceeded further to Ranipet.
The temple we wanted to visit was @ CHOLAPURAM - a Pallippadai temple - supposedly the FIRST PALLIPPADAI temple in TN - that of a Ganga King during Pallava Rule !!
