( ANBIL ) ANIRUDHA BRAHARAYAR - who was depicted by Kalki as Minister (atleast Internal Affairs ) was called so as ANBIL ANIRUDHA BRAHMARAYAR based on the Copper Plates issued by Sundara Chola - granting a village in favour of Anirudha Brahma Rayar was found in Anbil village (near Lalkudi) around 1930 or so by the Archeologists.
KRISHNAN RAMAN @ MUMMUDI CHOLA BRAHMADHIRAYAN of Rajaraja Chola times (who constructed the Thiruchutru - compound wall around the Big temple - pls recall earlier discussions - the elevated level wherein several lingams kept on the north / West portions - are built so AFTER COVERING ALL THE BROKEN PIECES OF SCULPTURES ETC, MADE WITHIN THE BIG TEMPLE COMPLEX - during construction !!)
Brilliant Krishnan Raman !! He is the Vaishnavite supposedly hailed from Puri Jagannath ! (not recalling evidence).

NARAKKAN KRISHNAN IRAMAN, served under Rajaraja I (Not to be confused with Anirudh Brahma Rayar - PS) from 1002 to 1014 and under Rajendra I upto 1018 or thereabouts, belonged to the brahmadeya village called AMANKUDI alias KERALANTAKA - CHATURVEDIMANGALAM in Ven-nadu or Uyyakondar Valanadu.
IN His name NARAKKAN was the ancestral village from where he hailed; KRISHNAN was his father's name. IRAMAN was his Personal name! His title was Mummudichozha Brahma Marayan when served under RR I and Rajendra Chozha Brahma marayan under Rajendra I. The title consists of three parts : King's name + brahma + status (marayan). Marayan @ Maharajan, Adhirajan @ Adhiraiyan are also titles. He was Senapathi from 1002 to 1006, olai nayagam 1008/9, and again Senapathy from 1010 to 1015 and Olai nayagam till 1018.
His son 1 was Narakkan Iraman Arumozhi @ Uthamachoha brahma Marayan! (1018 - 1034)- Senapathy.
Son 2 was Narakkan Marayan Jananathan @ Rajendra Chozha Brahma - Adhirajan (1019 - 1028) Naduvirkai in 1019;
Son 3 was Narakkan Marayan Rajarajan @ Rajaraja Brahma Marayan 1025 - 1028. Olai nayagam.
An inscription in 1034 (SII V 636 / 637), refers to one Iraman Chozhakula Sundariar - making a mention to " our VENKATESH'S THIRUMALPADI " - PRESUMABLY Krishnan Raman's daughter - who was the wife of Brahmana Kuravai Narana-Kiramavittar @ Madurantaka Brahma Marayan!
There is a mention of Narakkan Marayan Gangaikonda Chozhan @ Uthama Chozha Brahma marayan - in the year 1063, served as Olai Nayagam, who might have been Krishnan Iraman's GRAND-SON!
Adhikari (official) , Senapathi (In Military), Olai Nayagam (In Secretariat), Danda Nayagam (Supreme Commander / Military), Naduvirukkai (Judicial) are superior officials in Chozha State.
Similarly Moovendavelalan / Vizhupparayan were also titles conferred on other officials in Chozha State - more related agricultural / irrigation activities.
Hope this clarifies.
Apart from the above, Esalam Copper plates clearly confirmed of the sons of Krishnan Raman worked under Rajendra I.
Thankyou Sir for the clarification. Still I have one more small doubt. Krishan Raman and his son was mentioned high in the novel Udayar. Was it true? Were they really in a very high commanding position (rather than all the ministers. it was shown as without his knowlegde nothing happened in Chola Valanadu)in RRC period?. Or simply added?
sps sir, as you have mentioned in this topic in the year of 1018, krishnan raaman retires and his son takes charge as brahma maaraya. i have a doubt that, in the leidon copper plates some lines confuses about your words. i have pasted those lines below.
