    No, it is NOT A POPULARITY contest. I can not emphasis that enough. Yet,
    I am putting a count so that we have a rough idea. Let me know if I
    missed somebody. As expected, though I warned, there are tangential
    discussions about the choices of a few. I said no arguments :-)))))))))
    But that rule was thrown out the window :-)))))

    As you can see, I have omitted people who were mentioned as #2,#3 etc.
    etc. For example TVS Iyengar, CV Raman.... unfortunately those don't
    count :-)))))

    Meanwhile for some writers and authors in this group; some day in the
    future one or a group of you write "50 tamilians I want to meet" - the
    audience being children.

    If I can meet any one on the list, I would like to hear his life story in his own words and what he thought he should be remembered for.
