Now this makes sense. This is very similar to the Dharmasastha story i have heard (as the first son of Shiva). Dharmasastha's vahana is an elephant.Story of this God happens some where in between the Ganges and Kailash.The sastha is said to have two wives and is the one taken as an avatar of Ayyan / Ayyapan / Ayyanar.
