freinds, iam interested in preserving and studying the european structures extending from lake pulicat to the nagapatnam beach. they are 1.pulicat 2.chennai 3.sadras 4.marakkanam(al-ambarah) 5.pondicherry 6.cuddalore 7.portonovo(parangipettai) 8.tharangambadi 9.karaikal 10.nagapatnam
of this chennai and puducherry are under better protection. but the other places less said the better. in fact we can have a sub-forum specialising in the east coast history and archeology( extending from pulicat to point colimere).
we can include the sangam age and medieval age structures like mamallapuram, chdambaram, sirkali, poombuhar in this list and make a complete history project(from sangam age structures of buddha vihara-poombuhar, murugan temple-mamallapuram,to medieval structures like chidambaram, sirkali, and 18th century structures like nagai and pulicat..etc)
this makes the complete tamil history tour ranging from pre-historic(coastal veddoids of pichavaram) to 19th century(st.joseph's college nagai).
We in India really have lost a lot of recent history in the patriotic fervour....and anti colonial stance...In Malaysia you still have a heritage city in Malacca where the colonial bits are still preserved...
It would be a grand venture but a worthy venture to persue the Imperial Heritage of the East Coast...We can seek involvement of the Danes, dutch French and English...like the Tranqubar example

This is not a new thing in our country is it We believe if we get rid of statues and replace them with political leaders our time under the british will vanish...
Changing names will not change history nor will removing statues on the contrary leaving them as a reminder of our foolishness which led to the colonisation will be more prudent
