freinds, i see a remnant of an old fort called almbarai fort by locals on the way to chennai in the ECR. it is in the marakkanam coast. who has built it. it appear from the google maps also.
the name looks like an arabic one:al-ambara but the outlines of it looks like a european fort.

Dear Gandhi babu, I have a tiny bit of info on this fort, variant spellings for you which may be helpful in 'googling' : In Cheyur taluk, right? Alamparai, Alhamra, Alhambra [on map of ancient sites] Satish & 'ABHIVENKAT' have been there.
