Rajendras vast army (not less than 900000 (nine lakhs warriors) was moving towards Ganges / Poorvadesam (Bengal border - Southern Kosala deswam - Rama's mother's kingdom).
Bhoja and Rajendra had been always very good friends. A part of Rajendra's army WOULD HAVE BEEN SENT TO SUPPLIMENT BHOJA and fought against Gazni.
Anyhow - Gazni - could not take on this formidable front and instead diverted his attention to Somnathpur and looted there.
