    Hi
there is plenty of evidence that vir ballala lke the yadavas of deogiri collobarated with the sultanate armies during malik kafurs invasion
but later after pandyas were wiped out he changed his mind and vira ballala the hoysala led an army of hindu kingdoms to capture madurai from the madurai sultanate.( strangely the pandyas did not participate in this war) he lost and was killed in a brutal fashion.
it took another decade or so for vijayanagar to wipe out the sultanate.

  • to which clan Veera Velllan III belongs to............
  • Madurai Sultan ,
     Veera Vellala  was 88 then!
  • which sultan ruled madurai..... which period
  • The Governor of Delhi Sultan Alaudin, who ruled Madurai Gyajudin. Sep 8th 1342
  • And you know how they trim the skin ?

They cut a goat or calf and take its skin fresh. The victim is coated with salt on his back and ribs and this freshly cut goat/calf Skin is wrapped around the victim's body and tightened with a rope. The victim is made to stand in the sun for 3 days and sometimes a stone is hung to his neck and usually made immobile. In those 3 days, the goat's skin becomes dry and due to huge amount of salt it becomes like a "vathal" and sticks to the body of the victim. On the 4th day, the goat's skin is peeled off and along with it comes the victim's skin !! This practice was followed by zamindars as late as 19th century.

delhi sultan allaudin dies in 1315 or so
the madurai sultanate itself was established not during malik kafurs invasion but during the second wave led by ulugh khan

The Madurai Sultanate (or the Ma'bar Sultanate) was a short lived kingdom based in the city of Madurai in Tamil Nadu, India during the 14th century CE. It lasted from 1333 until 1378.

The founder of the sultanate, Sayyid Jalal-ud-Din Ahsan was appointed governor of the newly created southern-most Ma'bar province of the Delhi sultanate by Muhammad bin Tughluq. In 1333 CE, he declared his independence.
1339 was th eyear of 3 sultans when one after another met a assasination

Jalal-ud-Din Ahsan Shah was killed by one of his officers in 1339 CE.

Ala-ud-Din Udauji Shah took power in 1339 CE, but met with the same fate shortly with a stray arrow which penetrated his head.

Qutb-ud-Din Firuz Shah, son-in-law of Udauji Shah took over in 1340 CE and was killed in about forty days.

Ghiyas-ud-Din Muhammad Damghan Shah, a trooper in the service of sultan ascended the throne in 1340 CE and later married a daughter of Ahsan Shah.

it must have been him who killed vir ballala.
ibn batuta visits madurai during this period and is reported to heve described it.

wodeyars were more likely from the yadava clan. but they ruled from 1399

but their boom came only after vijayanagar colapsed.
vijaynagar was the true inheritor of the southern hindu kingdoms shattered by malik and his followers
