freinds, we used to have frequent discussions in annamalai university teachers club about this. it is now well estabilished that australian aborigines have travelled across the pacific and reached the andean coast 30000 years ago. this was 15000 years earlier to the arrival of the american indians from alaska.
the early ausralians who arrived there were very closer to south indians genetically. they subsequently mixed with the native american arrivers. the south american natives are somewhat darker and shorter than northamerican natives.
the south american civilisations like peru, inca and mayan ...etc have semblence to egyptian and south indian civilisations.
we used to joke about one of our professors who is obsessed about similiaities in certain names of south american towns( machu pichu-machu, kol-ambia-colombia, brachil-brazil)
There are similarities in most of the ancient civilizations (Andes)Viracocha / imotep (Egypt) / Kukul Kan (Mexico) all seem very similar to some dude with a staff on hand and comes by sea and helps the civilizations grow into huge centers of activity with immense techniques..
While pondering deeper into the evolution of man (I know there have been many threads on the subject) it is very evident that there is atleast a few thousand century difference between Cro-Magnon and Homo sapien.
Each civilization, has typically just sprung up with some sophisticated knowledge and know how on various ideas and techniques and interestingly, some have great construction knowledge others have solid medicine procedural techniques, though many civilizations have very less literacy backing such as ours.
For example, inca's used a simple string and ring with small interval knots to calculate solar - lunar cycles and more. It is not documented how they do it, but the last living survivors seem to have the technique passed on person to person.
Scoop, the temple that is on top of the Tiahuanaco rubble is Kalasasaya temple... no not Kailasa but kalasasaya.. :)
