>>> im sure Kalki presented us a nobler than life image of RRC. It surely wouldn't have been possible to rule so magnificently by being so saintlike.
so said rahul.
Kalki definitely went out of the way to contrast arulmozhi from his brother aditya and even sister kundavai.
aditya was ever ferocious and turned on friends and foes alike with his fire like anger. kundavai was political, planning for the betterment of her family.
arulmozhi was shown to be gentle and shying away from power. kalki of course had history to back him up on this point for arulmozhi did shy away from the throne( for whatsoever reason)
how did kalki make us beleive that AMV was a 'gentle' man
since i initiated the thread i would like to list the easiest
1. the saving of the sparrows nest from floods 2. not looting lanka for food grains
Venkat, did he shy away from the throne or give it up for fear of public disdain if they came to know SA was the real crown prince? I am not saying that in negative way there is nothing wrong in being ambitious but perhaps he wanted to be a popular, loved king, and sacrifice would heighten his image in eyes of people? Politicians in any age want to be popular don't they :) I like what cousin Rahul said in this regard :)
> 1. the saving of the sparrows nest from floods - ??? Saving the sparrows from falling off the tree right
> 2. not looting lanka for food 3. Courting arrest when his father orders 4. Going in to the sea and risking his life for a friend. 5. His interest with the Buddhism and the monks. 6. His attachment to Mandakini. 7. The way he treats his fathers alleys, like pazhuvettyars against the way AK treats them is a huge image build up by Kalki. 8. And AK's mail to Kundvai before he dies.
Athitha Karikalan wrote a letter to his sister kunthavai before he entered Nandhini's malikai. He knows that Vanthiathevan was there and hiding somewhere in that place. But how did he gave that to Manimekalai when she was there before him. The letter is not completed because, may be he knows that Manimekalai is in hurry to enter Nandhini's palace, so that he may stop writing and gave to her.

need to check when AK handed over the letter to manimekalai.
AK gave the letter to Manuimekalai much before entering Nandini's Palace. Infact, she had quite sometime to know its contents and could have prevented the inevitable but since she thought it was a love letter from AK and she did not know to read it, she did not know its contents. Only after the death of AK, she asked her friend to read it and regretted her opinoin on AK who thought of her as his sister.
She narrates all this to Kundhavai when she hands over the letter to her.
As for the letter being incomplete, it might be becasue, Kalki wanted to stress on his agitated mood there also!
