Manimangalam Sri Kailashanathar Temple
  • Good news from Dinamalar:

Sri Kaishanathar Temple at Manimagalam near Tambaram, Chennai is under renovation.

This temple was built by RRC in 1000 A.D. This temple is a typical example of RRC & his Chola Dynasty's support for Temples and their close relationship with the public.

This is evident from various inscriptions on RRC in Thiruporur, Thirukazhukundram,Veerapuram, Perumpakkam, Madampakkam, Sriperumpudur vayalanallur subramanian temple,Peruntandalam, Singaperumalkovil, Manimangalam Rajperumal ovil, Uthiramerur Vaikunda Perumalkovil, Oothukadu Perumal kovil..................

The cost of renovation is estimated at Rs. One Crore !!! This is expected to be raised by Private donors! The present Temple administration is taking all steps to renovate without sacrifying the sanctity of its tradition. If the Govt. dept. of Archeology takes over this job, it would be beneficial, feels the Public.

    Rgds.
