Paranjothi Vs Vanthiyathevan
  • Fo the first time SPS I beg to disagree that was Kalkis potrayal at his best I dont deny the fcat that I prefer PS over SS but the bickering and arguements and stubborness of the females are beautifully potrayed...
Another interesting point Why did Kalki not take the same liberties with Paranjothi as with VD was it because he later became Sirthondar?

    anybody noticed it

if you stop ramayan story just before the agnipravesam scene we have
a similar story line to SS

a kidnapping, a rescue, a thuuthuvan in the middle seeking the girl
to return with him, a villian,

    perhaps we could find more.

  • Venkat
I remember reading an interview with kalki's son Rajendran in which he says that even when SS was being serialised  Kalki 's daughter Anandi once remarked to Kalki that he was only rewriting Ramayana.

    HI SpS
    I presume you meant me
    one small clarification
my inlaws were deeply involved in thiruvengadu- especially building
the brama vidyambikai shrine and the puthan sthalam in 1942. they
also had some business activites like the lone theatre ' delta'
there but their origins were closer to chettinad.
