Read the mail that you've sent about the cutom of throwing yellow coloured water on each other during festivals. This custom is still practised in certain areas-at Madurai as far as I know. It is done during the local pongal festivals of small villages especially in certain communities. During the chithirai pongal festival of AYYANAR KOVIL at Rajapalayam(Virudhunagar dist.) this custom is still in practise. Thank you Illavarasi
