I recently joined in this group and read some messages about the Paintings done by Artist Silpi and about the recent article about the artist in Varalaru.com. I would like to add some details about the Artist as i am closely related to the Artist Family.
Artist Silpi's son Mr S. Mahalingam is now totally involved in promoting the works of Silpi.
"People visiting temples are coming down and its time for Gods to visit the people's house, Silpi, start painting the deities and our temple architecture AS IT IS and give it to all our people", this was said by Kanchi Paramacharya Sri. Chandrashkarendra Saraswathi Swamigal to Silpi. After this, Silpi had carriedout the Marathon paintings of all our temples & its deities AS IT IS into the canvas.
