When I was in school, my aunt told me the "Sivakamiyin Sabatam" story on a dialy basis, when I visited her place for a summer vacation.. That story really facinated me that it was so adventurous to travel in history...
Back in college, I became a fan of Sandilyan and collected all of his novels. A class mate told that "Ponniyin Selvan" by Kalki is so profound and the hero wont even touch the hand of the heroin. If he touched, it was only for a promise... This style of love making was so evolved and platonic, so I wanted to read PS. Unfortunately those days it was not under print.. the copies in college library were blocked by research students permanently.
One friend offered me to give me the book bound from the pages of the original Kalki magazine from his sisters collection.. But I had to pay him a bribe of 1 packet of Moore cigerette per volume.. Several chapters will be missing and the paper will be so fragile... So I had to save lot of my pocket money for that wonderful reading of PS from that original Kalki edition...
