I think if Venkatesh can make his books avail through Indian online booksellers like anyindian.com or anytamil.com, they ship to US. When I was in US I bought books from anytamil and I dont think I paid a high postal charge for it!
I was told of a ship based postal delivery, which works cost-effective, suggested by one of the publishers in the book fair. I will let you know if this can be done. He was saying that the cost will be Rs.300 for a book set. I dont know what to trouble too many people, just for a book.. :) Probably I can get hold of this when I am in India if there are no other way.
