Civilizations - WAR & LOGISTICS
  • I do remember reading in a research paper that long
years ago armies sustained on the "Meat On Hoof"
system. They would take livestock with them to the war
camp and slaughter before cooking a meal. However,
this is European info. I am not too sure if our hero's
    were non-vegetarian.
  • "Meat On Hoof" system.

the most effcient such system was the mongol.

they used to travel with three times as many horses as men. they used
to slice open a vein of neck of the animal, and drink its blood. also
    horses milk.

must have enabled them to travel great distances.

of all the warfare systems I think the mongol was one of the most
    successful
