pamban swamigal got a darshan of muruga on a dancing peacock in Gneral hospital itself.I forget the year but its considered a momentus occasion in 20th century for muruga followers.
vainagaram nagappa chettiar of amaravadhi pudur( who is responsible for 20th and 19th century completion of madurai meenakshi temple and those glorious carved pillars opposite the main sanctums) saw a small girl who gave him the temple prsasd of meenakshi temple, while stranded on the road well outside madurai. he was thus inspired to do this great work.
during serfoji period abirama battar saw abirami . the serfogi king on a copper plate describes that he saw a full moon on a ammavasya day.

These are fascinating facts. But what qualities did the lord see in these people (pardon my ignorance) to give them this blessing. Is it because of thier incredible faith? Also is faith only enough for viewing the lord? Have all the people with similar or greater faith been blessed so by the lord?
Mr.Venkatesh can explain beautifully about Mailk Kafur seeing the Lord in Madurai. The last thing we can expect Malik Kafur to have had was faith so what prompted the Lord to show himself before a temple destroyer!!
