The local madras daily deccan chronicle was till last week displaying one satellite photo everyday. one of the taj, one of the bahai temple etc. all from google. can somebody locate big temple's satellite photo for the group and site?
As of now, Google Earth covers only major cities and monuments/ important places in countries apart from US. In India, Delhi, Agra, Bangalore and Chennai are covered I believe.
May be we have to wait for Google Earth to extend its services for the entire globe after which we will be able to get the satellite picture of our BigTemple.
Google Earth does not take an online picture of a location from the satellite. If that is the case, whats the problem in taking a snap of Tanjai periya koil from the satellite. Its just a collection of satellite images, collected over the past three or four years. So what google earth show is the past earth and not the current one.
the ever open eyes in the sky - thats what they call the satellites
one unsubstantiated news is that a substantial portion of the first indian atom bomb were transported to pokharan on camel backs toavoid detection by americal spy satelites.any unusual activity would have been discovered by them and diplomatic pressure and arm twisting would have been done.
Obviously the satellite picture of Chennai is nonsense. Lot of mismatch in names .
Lot of places have been displayed with a wrong location. for instance, madhavaram is located near Alandur . Dont know how.
Reminds of me one S.ve shekar drama think "aayiram udhai vaanghiya aboorva sigaamani" wherein he acting as "vellore pattaabi M.L.A." proposes to shift Tanjai periya koil to chennai, marina beach to Agra and things like that.
aneghamaa S.ve sekhar kitta dhaan location idea kettirupaangannu ninaikkaren...
lots of interesting things in pokharan. after the successful blast the code " buddha is smiling" was transmitted to indira gandhi. likewise the american scientist seeing the first ever nuclear blast recited a verse from bhagavad gita.
