Last month I had been to Kamakhya temple, Guwahati. There, exactly above "Garbagriham" (This is real garbagriham - since this is one of the important Sakthi beedams - I hope you would understand what I mean "real garbagriham"), there is a vacant space - similar to that of the vacant space above "The Pervudaiyar" in periya koil.
In kamakhya temple, in garbagriham there is no separate shrine for "Maa kamakhya"; there is a very small vilakku shaped kuzhi wherein water is permanently available. Bakthargal have to worship the holy water.
