Hi Friends, If the website is about the bigtemple..it means it about an marvellous engineering feet of the Chozhas. I'm from the Chozha Country near the Kallanai Dam. I would say that even the Kallanai dam was an architectural splendour of the chozhas. It was built with such an master mind ..which even after 2000 years we can't dream how they had thought such an logic to buid it. I would like to write an article on that with some photos and pictures as proof.Are you guys interested in that?..If it is good wud u guys post it in the website...Or is it you guys want it completely to be about the big temple???...
go to files section and there is a folder called website. in it is file on kallanai(wikipedia details) use it if you want and expand into an article. the cholas knew their priorities. first a dam for permanent bojan and then only temples.
At the same time, go thru the archives. Search for kallanai. There is a view that all what karikalan did was just strengthening of the banks. Many people say that he did not build the dam.
Let us clarify it and then post it in the site. My heart still says it was karikalan!
