In this divyadesam perumal and thayar wedding is performed. The perumal is Bhathavasthala Perumal. Perumal has only one Thirrumanjanam during Adi as Jestabishekam. There is a beehive in the Thyar sandthi, which is worshipped. It is said the devas who came for the wedding, stayed back in the form of bees. Daily prayers are offered to the beehive. No devotee is strung by the bees. Since the thayar was bathed with holy waters of Darshana pushkarani before the marriage to perumal. She is called abhisehekavalli.
