The arguement on functioning of the TV channels / Movie Makers/ mass communication like journals, regarding whether they are doing the right thing in showing mega mega serials or showing cheap vulgar & violence scences in movies . the reply is either
1. People are seeing/liking that only so we are providing it ( this arguement has more validity on seeing some cheap vulgar movies becomes a super hit and the increase in the sale of kumudham after changing their middle page image etc
2. people in masscommunication are doing business . donot expect much from them as they also has to face severe competition from the west ( star , MCM , HBO , femina , flimfares & movies from the west also).
Leave the first arguement. i think the second arguement is very valid . now the question is
Are we expecting more from the mass communication people who are investing money in huge volume in their business ?????
if so , whether it is fair to expect them only to be more service oriented in their business which is not so common in other biusiness industries ...
