fox history channel: story of saddam
  • freinds,
yesterday 9-11pm fox history channel programme( retelecast) was good. it showed the personal life of a dictator. his love for his daughter, son, grandson, brother, his family, tribe ....and of course his nation.

the personality of famous or infamous rulers are always mired in controversy. this programme was from his daughters angle and most of them from her original interviews.

how great men have weakness for family is a good lesson for our rulers in india also. sometimes a " leader in our own premises -very closer".

there was one particular scenerio when the dictator orders the murder of both of his son-in-laws and their entire blood relatives. his daughter was forced to sign divorce papers moments before this. later the father says the daughters that as you have enjoyed the privileges of power you must also learn to take the pains of the same.

the actors have done their best especially the one played the role of saddam's daughter.

the 2 hour programme was very nice-in the sense it was neutral and potrayed the perils of being closer to power.
