This series of illustrated lectures will cover the development of temple art and architecture of South India , starting from the cave-temples of the Chalukyan dynasty in Badami and Aihole. The temples and sculptures of the Pallava, Pandya, Chola, Hoysala, Kakatiya, Vijayanagar and Nayak dynasties will be dealt with in detail in this lecture series.
