    Thiruvalangadu copper plates describe KARIKALAN having REINFORCED the bunds of CAUVERY !!

    His period appxly around 500 AD.

    Kaviarasu Kannadasan taken some poetic liberties.

    Last week while crossing Pillayarpatti - again visited his memorial house in Sirukoodalpatti ..

    He wrote Pillaithamizh - like on Meenakshiamman - ending with

    " sirukoodal patti valar
    thanga malaiyarasi umaiye ! "

    Great poet!
