freinds, last week i made atrip to nagapatnam. i saw the karoganeswarar temple, the district court complex, the ancient madharasi annai church, the first line beach road, port and the various european memorabilias. it was so nice to see the first eiropean colony in eastern coast.
the town had been under european controll for good 400 years and was briefly a headquarters for the tanjore district.
this town needs lot of study and preservation. a continuosly habitated town-port for 1500-2000 years.
