freinds, we made a 4 day trip to madurai and rameswaram last week. madurai still has the fragrance of the sangam age. the society culture and the people are the standing testimony of this. the meenatchi temple is a pre saivite temple and saivam must have joined later. the symbolic sundareswarar marriage is a hidden information. michael wood is right as he points out this.
rameswaram is a unique experiance as the pilgrims from rajasthan and south indians mingling in a place. it stands as a pillair of hope to our national unity and continuing exchange between the north and south.
the statues of sethupathis are very good. atleast one sethupathi was like very much sivaji ganesan(in kattabomman costume).
