ARUTCHELVAR Pollachi Dr. Mahalingam - through his Vallalar Narpani Mandram - today honoured Dr. Nagaswamy on the occasion of Vallalar - Gandhi Jayanthi.
Senior Advocate Gandhi rendered a good speech... highlighting THILAKAR declared "FREEDOM IS OUR BIRTH-RIGHT" at the Very place where subsequently Seerani Arangam was putup a couple of decades back. In a P-I-L filed by him, expecting orders to put atleast a Stone slab to keep track of the important part of History for the ref of future (present too !) generations.
Dr, Nagaswamy which discussing Gandhi - Vallalar Similarities, has also touched on Mahakavi Bharathi.
He spoke :: The Epigraphical reports published by the British Government were reviewed by Subramania Bharathi and he himself qupted several inscriptions... And Thiruvalangadu copper plates..
Bharathi quoting from Pallava inscriptions summerised that there was a PALLAVA KING APARAJITHA thereto much unknown to History !
Likewise Vallalar has written THONDAIMANDALA SADHAGAM - highlighting the Historical points of Thondaimandalam !
Even though both of them dealt with other important aspects, kept in mind always Historical details and passed on to the future generation.
