Emden rings me a bell! The German submarine which fired Chennai while traversing through Bay Bengal along the coast of Chennai (Marina) is history. In this regard one interesting thing I want to share with the members of PS. I am having a dead bomb (idhu ennoda gundu illa!) fired by the Emden on 22 09 14 which fell at the backyard of our ancestoral home in IV Street, Gopalapuram, Chennai, and was collected and kept by my great grand father as a souvenir - is now sitting pretty even today in my showcase! It is a matter of interest to people who visit my house during Navarathiri days.
