-Hi idaisuram is a fantastic temple, nestled between a few hills but I doubt if it is so close to thiruporur. it definitely must be a longer distance. i remember it was closer to chingelpet. 5 km or so.
the temple was renovated by the saravana bavan group and is crowded during pradoshams. on other days the gurukal lives close by.
actually he has a murai in mylapore kapali temple too and comes here for 15 days.
