I read Kalki's Ponniyin Selvan from the PDF version available in "Project Madurai".This project is really nice and gives new life to all the ancient tamil works. I want to read other novels which are not fully available in E Text form. Can anybody tell me where can i bye or lend the other novels by Kalki in Bangalore? And i want to know about the novel "Udaiyar" by Balakumaran which tells the story starting from the place where Kalki has left in Ponniyin Selvan.
I'm very much eager to read these novels. Plese reply me...
the story of udayar starts somewhere 20 years(?) from where ponniyin selvan stops.( 3 years for sundara, 14 for uthama , and some for rrc) vikramans nandhi puraththu nayagi is a novel in the period after PS.
Nadhipura nayagi and Vandhiyadevanin vaal claim to be sequels to PS but honestly are a waste of time...Udayar again starts well but cannot even be mentioned in the leagues of PS
But i don't understand, whether u want me giveup reading nandhi puraththu nayagi? Is it not worth reading? In what sense? Is it not written so interestingly? Yesterday I went to the Book Festivel arranged in Palace Grounds in Bangalore, where i found Nandhipurathu nayagi, some people who were purchasing the same novel told me that it's good.... I need some more clear views... please.
I really admire Kalki. I support your point that very few authors can be viewed equal to Kalki. But written style does not matter for one who want to know the real history with some fiction.
Dear Babu I wouldnt say dont read it because if you read that you ll appreciate PS even more but the sad thing is the author almost distorts all the key players of PS with no progression in timeline
