There was news clipping in Sun TV news last evening, about ASI renovating one of the main gopurams of Thanjavur Periya kovil. The news said that the main gopuram has been renovated by retaining its charm and glory using an older method by mixing some herbs with cement.. etc.. etc... and were planning to follow the same renovation method for other gopurams too, before the Kumbabishekam, planned for next year.
