The aadi varaaha cave is probably the least visited area in the port city. It is closed most of the time and is unfortunately not under ASI till now
The religious fervour has successfully destroyed the pristine beauty of probably one of the best varaha moorthys ever crafted in tamilnadu. Now it is clad with limestone plaster and to make things worst - coloured !
But in spite of that we were able to capture a rare glimpse of this moorthy in a very short trip I had in chennai
