Mr.Padmanabhan from Kudanthai has confirmed his participation today morning. Since he is a revenue dept person, he said he can arrange to see the shiva sculpture kept in Thasildar office near Udayarkudi.
Our members Subhasree and Perumal are yet to confirm. So, they are not included in the list.
I am not sure if Ramnath Mani need hotel accommodation in Thanjavur for 3rd night. Please confirm.

Please arrange a 20 seater mini bus. Rest of us can travel with SB in his vehicle for roaming around Thanjai and to Kudanthai.

Thanks Kamal for the wonderful planning. As Ram used to say, planningna kamal, kamalna planning..I will try to book the mini bus latest by tomorrow. When enquired, i was told that it will cost Rs.9 per KM and a driver batta of Rs.250 for every 250 KMs. Roughly it works out to be around Rs.8000 to and fro. Will try to negotiate.
FYI..your CD is Ready. :) ana marubadiyum oru chinna kularubadi panniten..nothing serious cd works fine and the content is also fine, but since i used mpeg format to download from my handycam (space save pannaradha nenaippu) when converted to VCD format, moving pictures are a bit hazzy. The good thing is most of the content in the cd do not have moving pictures (nammathan tablea okkandhu saptundu erundhome :) ). Will give it to you this weekend.

The mail from Kamal reg the head count is the last update and is considered to be final. Taking this into account, transportation is to be arranged for around 16 people and accomodation is for around 20. Assuming others are making their own arrangements.
SPS has booked 7 rooms in temple towers, Tanjai and is paying the advance for it. He has also engaged Kudavoil on Saturday evening and arranged for ASI permission.
I have booked a 20 seater Mini bus and will pay the advance this evening.
We need to decide on the boarding points. I suggest, if all can meet in a single point it will be easy for consolidation and we can save time. travelling from one point to another to pick up will surely take time and we can use this time fruitfully, if we can leave early.
To and fro, should be around 700 to 800 KM which will cost around Rs.8000. Accomodation should cost around Rs.3500 and food and misc will be extra. Total cost for the trip should be around Rs.15000 which shared by say 20 members will come around Rs.750 per head. This is a rough calculation.
We can contribute say, Rs.800 per head when we board and can finalise the accounts before we depart on sunday evening.
The stage is set. We need to decide on the meeting point on saturday morning. Any suggestions? If all can spell out their locations, we can decide on a center point or a feasible route for pickup and the timing.

Thanks for the update. Anyway, in a 20 seater only around 16 are going from chennai. And in 7 rooms 21 people can stay. So I think we can manage. In worst case scenario, we can book additional rooms if needed, and take a local car if people are more, which we can release in tanjai itself. Hope this situation will not araise.
The boarding points are perfect. I think all will agree to this. I can take the vehicle and come down to Tnagar, from where we all can start.

Most of our mobiles have Roaming facility. I do have and SPS also has roaming. I think all Tamil Nadu numbers have "oru state oru rate" feature. So shouldnt be a problem locating.

Guindy subway is a place no one can miss. Its very near the railway station at the footpoint of the overbridge. I think a gumbal will be waiting there. Omni bus stylela..tanjavoooor, kummmmmmmbbakkkonam..num venumna kathindu varen..so that you can easily locate :) Regn. No. identification mark, i myself will know only on Saturday morning :(...I will try to get this info if possible and send it by Friday.
