Tala is located in Chhattisgarh and famous for a very interesting statue which was found in 1988. It has perplexed various scholars to understand the iconography of this statue, and still none of the theory can totally explain it. In the words of Pramod Chandra, this icon is going to trouble the iconographists for at least a century.
It would be a good exercise for your grey cells if you are interested to understand the icon and its purpose, if yes, then I would recommend you to go through the article and the album to have an understanding to go ahead.
