  • Dear Gokul

Very nice style and pace but I feel it probably would be better to leave the citations as footnotes than in the middle its breaking the pace of the reading.....

    Goodluck

  • My Dear Mr. Palaniappan,

I am SB : mail id: rrchola.

The Historic novel I is written by our dearest S.Gokul. id:
seshadrigokul. Gokul works in Reuters - Singapore - Engineer. Hails
from Srirangam / Trichy. Has been interacting frequently in our
Group and one of the Senior members : Like Dr.Sridhar, Pavithra,
Poonguzhali and alike. I am a late entrant in our Group.
Gokul has very good interaction with Dr. Kalaikkovan. Good at
    photography.

Some of the members in our group - who have time and inclination to
find out more about what is written or unwritten by our beloved Kalki
on Ponniyinselvan - are trying to kindle more interest in the subject
seen that Gokul, Dr. Sridhar are such forerunners. Mr. Palaniappan,
your contributions are quite interesting and worth remembering.

Best wishes to such efforts and thanks-giving to Kalki once again,
    Fondly, SB
  • Dear Gokul,

Very good beginning. I fully agree with Dr. Sridhar. Explanations
should be as foot notes, other wise flow is affected.

Probably we are reading a Historical novel (based on factual data of
names, persons, places etc) as derived from various inscriptions.
Whenever we read any other novel, we had this doubt always at the
back of our minds. Very good attempt. Hearty congrats.

Let us hear the views of other members of our group as well.

    Fondly, SB
  • Dear Gokul,

Very good beginning, eagerly waiting for the second
    and many more parts.
  • Good start Mr. Gokul.

Just one doubt. I know that this is much debated. But still I raise this
with some curiosity to get the views of the knowledgables in the group.

The novel says that in ancient times, Ramayana & Mahabharata were referred
as 'Ariya Kuuthu', meaning 'stories of Aryans'. What is the early
evidence of separation of aryans and dravidians in literature? Is there
any proof (in the history) for Aryan invasion and Dravidians being pushed
    south of vindhyas?
  • Dear all,

Thanks for all the positive comments ! Should be posting the
forthcoming episodes in weekly or bi-weekly intervals...

Bhaskar : Aryan-dravidian concept is a highly debaded topic and has
almost become a political subject. I have no adequate knowledge to
get into it. sorry about that.
